Priceline caring for the community
Priceline Pharmacy has been one of the cornerstones of the Pinewood Shopping Village for almost 30 years. The pharmacy originally opened in 1989 on its present site at 439 Blackburn Road, Mt Waverley.
Dominic Stambe commenced work at the pharmacy at that time and has been part of the Pinewood community for nearly 30 years. The pharmacy was originally under a different banner group and was extensively renovated in 2012 and reopened as the Priceline Pharmacy Pinewood.
Priceline Pharmacy has maintained high standards of professional and friendly service and advice, with Dominic heading a team of approximately 25 full and part-time staff. Priceline at Pinewood offers a huge range of all the popular pharmacy items such as medications, cosmetics, skincare
and haircare products. But this is only the tip of the iceberg!
“We offer free medication consulting for customers, home medication reviews where a consultant pharmacist attends a patient’s house with the support of a doctor, flu vaccinations, advice on cosmetics and beauty and a free home delivery service,” Dominic said. “We are now stockists of the popular MooGoo skincare range that is made in Australia.” Priceline also stock Bio Ceuticals professional vitamins and hire out crutches, wheelchairs and walking frames. They have a beauty adviser in the store from Monday to Friday offering mini make-overs.
“We offer a number of services to facilitate the correct use of medication, we can provide reminders for prescriptions via SMS text messages, and Webster packs (medication packaging) for those who find it difficult to manage their daily medication. Customers can also bring in their old medicines and we will dispose of them appropriately. We also are a National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) agency, which allows us to provide diabetic-related products at a hugely subsidised price.

“Being a member of the Priceline family we’re able to offer discounted prescription pricing year-round that reduces people’s costs of medication on a monthly basis,” Dominic continued.
“The Priceline SisterClub Card provides customers with many long term benefits that over six million members enjoy, in the form of free vouchers and provides support to many charities. The Priceline Sisterhood Foundation has thus far raised $4.5 million for charities. Priceline has regular promotions all year and fortnightly catalogues provide significant additional discounts.
Dominic has been heavily involved in the local community. He was a member of the steering committee of the Bendigo Bank branch at Pinewood and served on the board for 12 years and regularly supports local schools with gifts for fundraising events.
Dominic said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed working at Pinewood for the past 30 years, it’s very rewarding helping people with their pharmaceutical needs and developing long-standing relationships with customers and their families.”
“In developing those relationships it enables you to have some very strong bonds with the community. I get an enormous amount of personal satisfaction from that.”
